چکیده
The study aimed to determine the effects of feeding outdoor-grown hydroponics maize sprouts (HMS) on growth performance and digestibility nutrients in goats. Three treatment groups (n = 5), group T1 (control), were fed 500 g concentrate, Napier grass; T2, HMS, while T3 had sole HMS using a completely randomized design. results showed that better feed nutritive composition with lower concentration indigestible fibre (P<0.05) higher crude protein (12.28%) compared grass (7.22%) (P<0.05). Goats T2 concentrate average daily gain (ADG) 79 g/day 48 rivalling goats (44 g/day) Feed conversion ratio (FCR) was significantly T3. dry matter (69.27% 63.95%, respectively) (71.89% 72.28%, Sole exerted minor impact animals. However, could potentially replace conventionally planted conjunction commercial improve small ruminants.

Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility and Haematological Parameters of Red Sokoto Goats Fed Sabara (Guiera senegalensis) Leaf Meal
The objectives of the study were to evaluate the effects of Sabara leaf meal on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and haematological parameters of red Sokoto goats. Bucks were managed in a complete randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replicates. The Sabara leaf meal (SLM) was fed at concentration of 0, 10, 20 and 30% in treatment 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively. The experimental diets...

The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of feeding varying levels of Ficus sycomorus leaf forages as protein supplements to a basal diet of urea treated maize stover. Four Yankasa goats averaging one year and weighing 11.7±1.8 kg were used to measure the feed intake, digestibility and nitrogen balance. The basal diet (urea treated maize stover) was supplemented with 0 (T1), 50 (T2), 100...

The objective of this experiment was to test the hypothesis that differences in the digestibility of total dietary fiber among breeds of pigs is influenced by the type of fiber fed and also by the age of the pig. Five Meishan pigs (BW: 77.2 ± 15.2 kg; 5 mo old), 5 light Yorkshire pigs (BW: 80.1 ± 11.2 kg; 4 mo old), and 5 heavy Yorkshire pigs (BW: 102.1 ± 3.5 kg, 5 mo old) were surgically prepa...
متن کاملPrediction of feed intake, digestibility and growth rate of sheep fed basal diets of maize stover supplemented with Desmodium intortum hay from dry matter degradability of the diets
The in sacco dry matter (DM) degradability of diets based on maize stover harvested at three stages of maturity and supplemented with graded levels of desmodium (Desmodium intortum cv. Greenleaf) hay were estimated from degradability of the individual feeds and their corresponding DM intake. The estimated DM degradability of the diets was used for prediction of DM intake (DMI), digestible DM in...
